First Friday Art Walk

UPCOMING:  Friday July 3rd, 5-8pm

What is ArtWalk? Thirty-one of Walla Walla’s Arts Businesses—including art galleries, art venues, artists’ studios and museums—extend their hours on the first Fridays of the month, May through December, from 5 to 8 p.m. for Walla Walla’s ArtWalk, exhibiting works of local, national and international artists. New this season - 10 venues at Historic Walla Walla Airport!

How to participate? ArtWalk is FREE and open to all art enthusiasts. Look for the signs in the windows of participating art venues. These correspond with the numbers on the map.

Special exhibits opening this month:
Willow’s Loft Gallery (2 E Rose) presents a talk by Frank Janzen, Tamarind Master Printer at Crow’s Shadow. Frank will offer a printing demonstration as well as introduce the new Crow’s Shadow Executive Director, Feather Sams-Huesties; begins at 6 P.M.
Le Chateau (175 E Aeronca) will feature the Bronze/Stainless Steel Sculptures and Pastel Drawings by local artist, Tom McClelland. We will have complimentary wine tasting from 5-8pm and some samples of infused grape seed oils and fresh bread from Hidden Valley Bakery.
SYZYGY Wines (405 E Boeing) will feature he astronomical works of Jon Lomberg: Jon Lomberg was famed astronomer Carl Sagan’s colleague on many projects: he designed animation for the film Contact and won an Emmy Award for his work on the TV series COSMOS.
Flying Trout Wines (37 S Palouse) shows the work of Carol Flohr, a  professional weaver for over 30 years, focusing on shawls, blankets and more abstract pieces.  Carol's work is a blend of the utilitarian and the fantastical.
